Can anyone see a similarity between real life and the Godfather part 2?

Along with two decades of hosting the His Holiness, America can say that 3 US Presidents have personally met and seeked an audience with the Dalai Lama (Tenzin Gyatso). What have they done to reclaim Tibet from the clutches of Communist/Capitalist China? I believe that Obama is going about the way of peace in a different way from any other administration before. Not wanting to disrupt America's business and relationship with China, we stay the course. Maybe the Dalai Lama and the president have a mutual understanding of timely action.
