I'm hoping to go into Cambridge tomorrow so I can get something for Chris. I honestly have no idea what I'll do during break. The plan is to just wing it. I guess I am easing up into the idea of going home (and taking little brother to school).
There have been a vast amount of issues identified in the papers of late: Furlough Fridays, overfishing, the closing of the Kalanianaole Highway - which in turn hurts those who commute to town or wherever else from Waimanalo, homeless allocation, increased crime, bankrupt businesses still managing real estate - General Growth, and among other things, the bankruptcy of the Honolulu Symphony. quo vadis - where do we go from here?
I'll end this post on a literary note with the Robert Frost poem Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening:
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
